NPC: Hugo (LilyPlain
675,692)
Requirements: 1. To be a mentor: 1)
Character level above 40; 2) Mentor level 1-8 2. To be an apprentice:
Character level below 40. After you reach level 40, you can use a Mentor Fruit
to claim a mentor whose level should be at least 10 levels higher than
yours. 3. Each apprentice can have only one mentor.
What is Mentoring?
The idea behind Mentoring is a straightforward one. It should mirror the
analogy of a dedicated teacher offering valuable lessons to an eager
student.
Higher level characters (Mentors) are able to teach lower level characters
(Apprentices) about the world, the creatures in it, and how foes can best be
defeated, by grouping up with them and taking on challenges appropriate to the
growing skills of the Apprentice.
While the Mentor and Apprentice are grouped up with each other, both can
learn valuable lessons (experience) in the process. Apprenticing to a skilled
Mentor can also be a faster way to learn than just trying repeatedly on your
own
Further extending the analogy, the mentors can spend their mentor experience
to upgrade their mentor level. The higher mentor level they reach, the more
mentor experience they will gain.
How does it work in game?
Hugo (LilyPlain 675,692) is the administrator of newbie guild. She is in
charge of all mentor affairs. You can visit her to learn the details.
Talk to her to make your choice:
1. Publish a mentor announcement
If you are level 40+ and have obtained mentor level, you may advertise your
mentor rules here. As your announcement will be shown to the low level
characters, you had better let them know what they can benefit from you.กก
2. Choose a mentor The low level characters can read
the mentor announcements to choose the desired mentors. After you confirm your
choice, the system will ask the target if he/she would like to take you as
his/her apprentice.
3. Modify a mentor
announcement If you are not satisfied with your mentor announcement,
you may modify it whenever you want.
4. Upgrade the mentor level You start from mentor level
0. When you have reached higher level and gained enough mentor exp, you can
spend your mentor exp to upgrade your mentor level. The higher mentor level you
reach, the more apprentices you can mentor.

Choose a Mentor or Apprentice
There are two ways to choose a mentor or apprentice.
1. Visit Hugo to choose a mentor by reading the mentor announcements.
2. Click cross-hand icon to mentor/prentice window. If you have mentor level,
you can click +Prentice button, then the target to send your request. The target
will be your apprentice once he/she accepts your request. If the target is level
40+ or already has a mentor, he/she cannot be your apprentice. If you want to
take the target as your mentor, the target must have mentor level and vacancies
for apprentices.
Bonus experience for mentor and apprentice The Apprentice
will receive bonus experience while being Mentored. The bonus experience
includes sharing the exp for group killing and also that for group XP. If you
are level 40 or above, you are eligible to gain mentor exp for grouping up with
the weaker characters below level 70. If you group up with your mentor, you will
gain more bonus exp.
After you have mentored an apprentice to level 30,
you are eligible to receive bonus experience from him/her. The more experience
this apprentice gain, the more bonus exp you will receive. This does not reduce
your apprentice's exp. You need to spend your mentor exp to claim your bonus exp
from Hugo.
Moreover, if your apprentice becomes a mentor, you can even receive bonus exp
from his/her level 30+ apprentices. The high mentor level you have, the more
bonus exp you will receive.
